MCDB Data Submission
As required under COMAR 10.25.06, the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) publishes the Medical Care Data Base (MCDB) Data Submission Manual (DSM) annually to provide health insurers, third party administrators, and other covered payers with the technical specifications, file record layouts, and reporting requirements for submitting medical, pharmacy, and dental claims; member eligibility; provider; and alternative payment model (APM) data to the MCDB.
Data Submission Materials
Submission materials for the current and prior reporting years are available in the following table. These materials include:
- the DSM
- redline versions showing changes from the prior year
- file record layout guides
- APM data collection templates
- the list of required payors
